Take a scenic 20 minute drive from room to Sundown Mountain Resort! Enjoy 21 trails fit for your skill level, two terrain parks, options to rent equipment, schedule a lesson as well as on-site dining and drinks.
The nature center contains interpretive displays on wildlife, ecology, and history of the Swiss Valley area. The preserve has ten miles of hiking trails and the stream is stocked with trout. Try your skills on the trails with a pair of snowshoes, limited sets available.

The snow sculpting event will feature teams from Dubuque as well as a team from the University of Wisconsin-Platteville.Teams will begin carving on Wednesday, Feb. 10, and will have until noon on Saturday, Feb. 13, to complete their sculptures. The option to cast your vote and view the sculptures will also be available online. Want to see the sculptures up close?
